Sow your way out

Luke 21:1
And he looked up, and saw the rich men casting their gifts into the treasury.

Luke 21:2
And he saw also a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites.

Luke 21:3
And he said, Of a truth I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast in more than they all:

Luke 21:4
For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of God:but she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had.

I don’t know about you but have you ever had Holy Spirit breathe fresh revelation on a Scripture you were reading? It may be something you’ve read a bunch of times but when you read it this time it seems like the words leapt from the page and bunched you in the face.

That’s what happened this morning when I was reading about the widows mite. It’s especially
significant to me right now because The Lord has me at home; I’m not working in the traditional since. I’m not bringing in any income. You see I had prayed and asked God to release me from my job.

05/2013 God instructed me to resign from my job and finish writing my book. Great!!!! I’m home now writing, writing, writing! Getting my business plan together. Doing exactly as He has instructed. I’m in the perfect will of God! But I have no income. How do I give?

I’m a tither. I’m a seed sower. I’m a giver. I understand The Law of the seed. It was beginning
to bother me. I started telling God what His word says.
2 Corinthians 9:10
Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness.

For awhile I didn’t hear anything until listening to a podcast by Zari Banks called ” Work the seed”,
then I got it. I sow what I have. Pride immediately tried to come in. The enemy tried to make me feel embarrassed to sow my change. Because my significant seed right now is literally loose change. What some would just throw away has become my widows mite. I broke through in my giving by taking to God my not enough.

Today you may not have a lot, you may not even have the widows mite. But you do have something.
You can sow love, forgiveness, hope, encouragement, humility, comfort the hurting, give courage to the fearful, invite someone to church.

We all have something that we can give, just give God something to work with!!!!!!!
