(But he was )wounded for our transgressions,(he was )bruised for our iniquities:the chastisement of our peace (was) upon him;and with his stripes (we are healed.)

As we study this scripture breaking the sentence structure down as we go, we will see the correct tense. It says He was!!! Past tense, that’s very important to know. Why? Because it means that healing has been made available to us. Not when sickness, disease or infirmities try to attack the body but healing like salvation is a part of the redemptive works of Jesus. Healing is FINISHED!!!
Of course you know I looked up the definition for past tense:
The past tense is a grammatical tense whose principal function is to place an action or situation in past time. In languages which have a past tense, it thus provides a grammatical means of indicating that the event being referred to took place in the past. Examples of verbs in the past tense include the English verbs sang, went and was.
Did you see that??!!! I’m excited!!!! Glory to God!!! Healing was purchased in the past.
It’s not God’s will for you to be sick. Sickness is not from God. Think about it, why would Jesus take all of the punishment, pain and humiliation of the cross if it was God’s will for man to be sick?
Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do:for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.
I can of mine own self do nothing:as I hear, I judge:and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.
Jesus, himself said that he could do NOTHING of himself, ONLY that which was the Father’s will.
So why do people stand against healing? So why do people not know that God wants us well? So why are so many sick? Why aren’t we seeing the supernatural power of God in operation?
He was beaten beyond recognition. He no longer looked like a man. They beat the flesh from his back. Bone and marrow showed. It wasn’t just some cute little beating that he took. It was gruesome. Not like what the movies show. He felt EVERY SINGLE WHIP, PUNCH,SLAP. The crown of thorns was not just placed on his head but pushed down breaking the skin, so that blood dripped down from his forehead, distorting his vision. But He was looking into the future seeing you and me!!! He embraced the cross!! He chose the cross!!!
We must begin to see Jesus as much more than just Savior. We must open up and receive him as our healer. Our redeemer. Our sanctifier.
Yes, salvation is important!!! But God wants us healed.
3 John 1:2
Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
You may be asking, how do I receive healing?
We receive healing and everything else from The Kingdom of God the same way we received salvation.
Yes, it is just that simple!!! We must believe to receive. By Faith. Take healing. Get the word of God in your ears, before your eyes. Speak it out of your mouth.
No matter what sickness it may be.
Cancer, Aids, HIV, Infertility ( I name these because this is what people have in a category as being HUGE diseases)
But the blood of Jesus crushed them all. He took them all on his body. He defeated them!!!
1 Peter 2:24
Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness:by whose stripes ye were healed.
See yourself well. Get a picture of a healthy you, keep it before your eyes. Thank God for your healing. Receive your healing. Don’t let it go!!!
Symptom show up; By the stripes of Jesus I’m healed! Sign show up, By the stripes of Jesus Im healed!
I’m in no way minimizing anything that you may be going through. I am maximizing Jesus!!!!
I believe in healing. I believe in divine health. I believe God wants you well.
I see my body as whole. I see my body through the blood of Jesus!!! I see my victory from the cross.
How do you see yourself?
