It is written

In the wilderness Jesus defeated satan by using three words. “It is written”
I found it interesting that the bible here refers to satan as the tempter. That’s the weapon that he used against Jesus at that time. Temptation. he’s still using that same weapon against us today.
satan came to tempt Jesus while He was weak ,but how did Jesus respond?
By giving satan the Word of God.
During Jesus’s time of temptation satan had the nerve to use the word of God against the word Himself.
(John 1:14 KJV)
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

With every temptation Jesus response was the word of God. Isn’t it funny today that when the tempter comes to us, we want to give him everything but the word of God?
Isn’t it funny how we want to be Christians today without the word of God? Isn’t it funny how we want to be successful and walk in everything God promised but we want it all without His word?
satan knows the word and we think we can go through this life without knowing it.
Matthew 4:6
And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down:for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee:and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.

This is what Jesus said:
Matthew 4:7
Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

Matthew 4:4
But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Matthew 4:10
Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan:for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

The tempter is still coming. Through situations and circumstances.
he will come to you, what will you say when he comes?
My mortgage is due-It is written:
Philippians 4:19
But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Bad report from the doctor-It is written:
Isaiah 53:5
But he was wounded for our transgressions,he was bruised for our iniquities:the chastisement of our peace was upon him;and with his stripes we are healed.

Children acting crazy-It is written:
(Isaiah 54:13 AMP)
And all your children shall be disciples [taught by the Lord and obedient to His will], and great shall be the peace and undisturbed composure of your children.

Threatened miscarriage-It is written:
None shall lose her young by miscarriage or be barren in your land; I will fulfill the number of your days. (Exodus 23:26 AMP)

Barren- It is written:
Deuteronomy 7:14
Thou shalt be blessed above all people:there shall not be male or female barren among you, or among your cattle.

We have an answer and that answer is: It is written!!!!
Jesus stood on the word and this is was satans response
Matthew 4:11
Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.

If we stand on the word and continue to stand on it the devil will leave us alone too.
Ephesians 6:13
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Good morning dear ones,
As I was watching this video for a course that I’m taking for the month of November, the word consequences jumped out at me.

By now some of you know me, I love to know what words means; I looked up the word and here’s what it means:
2 : something produced by a cause or necessarily following from a set of conditions

I had to take a step back. Because I realized that their were things that I had gone through and am still going through that were consequences of decisions that I made. God had not brought these things to my door step- I had. For me that was a breath taking revelation. You may need an example of what I’m talking about.

Ok here’s one- I made a purchase on my credit card. When the bill was due I did something else with the money. When the next bill came, I did the same thing. By the time the next bill was due I had accumulated late fees and penalties that I didn’t want to pay so guess what, I didn’t. How stupid is that? I had the money. I could have paid the whole balance off. I chose not to pay the money that I owed. Dumb! Dumb! And dumb again!

Consequence: My creditors turned my delinquent account over to the credit bureau which in turn negatively effected my credit score. Which gave me higher interest rates on things as simple as my car insurance. In the process of buying a home my husband was not able to put me on the mortgage loan because my credit score was lowering his over all score. My income could not be counted which lowered the amount of money we qualified for.
( That hurt I was so disappointed in myself) My lack of character at that time hurt my husband not in his feelings but in our future.

Don’t get me wrong I no longer have the mentality that I had over 10 years ago but negative reports on my credit stayed on for seven years at a time. Today I have rebuilt my credit but the residue of past mistakes have left me having to clean up what I did when I was dumb.

You see the decisions you make today will follow you into your tomorrow. You have to go back and clean that stuff up. Sometimes we wonder why the manifestation of some prayers take so long, God is not a genie. This is not magic. He has to go back and repair the damage that we have caused. Before you make a decision; first think; will this hurt me or someone I love when I see it again. Because trust me, you will see the choice you make again. Whether negative or positive.

I say none of these things to bring sin conscienceness or condemnation on you. My goal is to share my experiences with you so you don’t repeat my mistakes. Some people don’t tell the truth of why we go through things that we go through. So often we blame it on God. Sometimes we blame it on the devil. Well sometimes it’s just us.

Galatians 6:7
Be not deceived; God is not mocked:for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

Galatians 6:8
For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

Did you take your medicine

Good morning all,
This morning as you get ready for your day, don’t forget to take your medicine. If we went to the doctor and got a prescription it would most likely read. Take 1 tablet by mouth 3 times a day. Or if we have a headache we grab an over the counter medicine, which problem reads take 1 tablet every 4-6 hours.

Do not take more than 6 tablets in 24 hours. However the instructions come on the bottle that’s how we take it. Often times without asking any questions or putting up any kind of resistance. This medicine should not be taken on an empty stomach. Drink one full glass of water with this pill. This is for internal use only.

Did you know that we can take The Word of God as a medicine? The bible is full of healing scriptures. Just pick one and meditate on it. Read it out loud when you get up in the morning. Then read it again out loud at lunch time. Once more at bedtime, read it out loud. Believe it. Receive it.
Don’t just read it. Ponder it. Think about it. Do you believe it? Faith mixed with Gods word = results.

When we are given medicine from a pharmacy we don’t just take it one time and see no results and then say it doesn’t work so I’m not taking it. No, we keep taking it until we see that it’s working. So why then do we not do the same with God’s word? I have my own opinions on that but I’ll let you answer that question.

Take the scriptures as often as necessary. We cannot overdose. There are no negative side effects. It doesn’t just treat the symptom but gets down to the root of what’s causing sickness.

I know many of us believe in healing but we are not taking the medicine. There’s a follow through or corresponding action that we must do.

My son, attend to my words; consent and submit to my sayings. (Proverbs 4:20 AMP)

Let them not depart from your sight; keep them in the center of your heart. (Proverbs 4:21 AMP)

For they are life to those who find them, healing and health to all their flesh. (Proverbs 4:22 AMP)

It shall be health to your nerves and sinews, and marrow and moistening to your bones. (Proverbs 3:8 AMP)

Exodus 23:25
And ye shall serve the Lord your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee. (KJV)

Deuteronomy 7:15
And the Lord will take away from thee all sickness, and will put none of the evil diseases of Egypt, which thou knowest, upon thee; but will lay them upon all them that hate thee. (KJV)

O Lord my God, I cried to You and You have healed me. (Psalm 30:2 AMP)

Psalms 42:11
Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me?
hope thou in God:for I shall yet praise him,who is the health of my countenance, and my God. (KJV)

Psalms 103:2
Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: (KJV)

Psalms 103:3
Who forgiveth all thine iniquities;who healeth all thy diseases; (KJV)

Psalms 107:20
He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. (KJV)

These are just a few of the hundreds of Healing Scriptures in the bible. This list is not all inclusive. But you can search on your own. Do you have an concordance? I have and sometimes use A Strong’s Concordance. Do you know how to use it? You find the common phrase you are looking for. Today we are talking about healing. So you would look up the word healing. And it will list every scripture with the word healing in it.
Also because we live in the Google age, search healing scriptures. A plethora of information will come up.

I am in no way saying don’t take prescribed medication from your doctor. Yes, please do take it. I believe in doctors. God will instruct us to go to the doctor. He has given them wisdom to treat the human body. God will even heal through doctors. We can’t limit how He wants to heal us. We can’t put Him in a box.

But, I am saying put God’s word as First place in your life. As you take the medicine from your doctor also take the Word from your Father. Believe Him for your healing and complete deliverance. And please do not take the experiences of others over God’s word.

Sometimes people can be negative. Saying things like; “My grandmother believed in God. She believed He would heal her, she died”
We don’t know grandma’s relationship with God, maybe she was ready to go. Maybe He told her to go to the doctor and she didn’t go or went to late. I don’t know.

But I do know once you get into His word and begin to meditate on it, He will begin to speak to you about your situation. Follow His instructions. Read, pray and obey!!!

There maybe a part two or this may become a series that we do here on my blog. Give me some feed back. What do you think? God wants His people healed. Sickness, disease, poverty, lack that is not The Believers portion.
