While laying in bed the enemy tried to attack me with worry and anxiety early this morning. At first I just lay there. Thoughts churning in my head. For awhile I found myself meditating on the wrong thing.
Then my stomach started to tie itself in knots. I began to feel nauseated. But, then this still small voice gently reminded me. Pay attention to what you’re thinking about. Holy Spirit, my helper showed up.
And I opened my mouth and began to worship my God. Telling Him how awesome He is.
Lord I thank you that you love me. I thank you that you are for me. I thank you that you love yourself some Tomeca. I thank you that you are my righteousness. I thank you that you are my shield and my buckler. I thank you that you are my peace. I thank you that you are my strength. I thank you that in you I find safety. I thank you that in you I find rest.
Lord you are good! Lord you are mighty! There’s nobody like Jehovah. You’re my God.
You’re the almighty God. You’re the one true God. I join in with the angels and I cry holy, holy, holy. You’re my way maker. You’re Jehovah Jireh. Before the situation came you knew I would go through it. This didn’t come as a shock to you or take you by surprise. You already made a way of escape for me. I lean into you this morning.
I put my trust in you today and everyday. I refuse to worry or be anxious about anything.
Let me tell you after a short while I felt peace. Not my peace but the peace of God came in.
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
I don’t know what you’re facing this morning and I don’t know all the answers, but I know the One who does.
He loves us this morning. He has our backs. We are not alone. He hears and He cares.
We lean on, rely on and confidently put our trust in you this morning.
Thank you that you have our best interests at heart and that you will bring us out with the victory.
In Jesus name
