In today’s society, lets think about the value of asking for help.

How weird does that sound to your ears? As I type it out my flesh is screaming at me.
In a generation of selfies, ear buds and hand held devices designed to keep us wrapped up in our self. (Which is causing selfishness.)

How are we to speak to our neighbor as a simple hello, when we don’t look up long enough to make eye contact with the person right next to us?

We don’t really “know” anyone to have a relationship with them. I remember growing up in a neighborhood; everybody knew everybody. When a strange face came in everyone knew it. There was a sense of community.

Today do we know our neighbors? How about I just give you the answer. NO!
I remember neighbors would come by just to check on you to see if everything was ok, if you needed anything.

That sounds so foreign in the culture that we live in today. Where we don’t even talk to people. We text as a generic form of communication. And now we don’t even use words its been dwindled down to emoji’s.
When is the last time you heard the voice of the person you text the most? When is the last time you asked them how they were doing? I mean how they were REALLY doing.

When I turn on the news or pick up a paper to read it; without fail there is another suicide. Someone taking their life. How are we progressively as a people losing precious lives?

Genesis 2:18
And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone;

I know this passage of scripture is generally used for marriage. But today lets look at it in all areas of our lives. We were not created for isolation. That is not God’s will. It is not His best for our lives. We were created for friendship. We were created for relationship. We were created to socialize.

Today lets us all create an environment where it is safe for someone to ask us for help. Let us serve.

Until next time.

Shalom my friends

The Blessed Marriage

I’ve been doing a lot of studying on marriage lately. Mainly because when there is something that I want to be good at I’ll give it my attention and study it. I want to be great at my marriage.

All around us today we see an attack on biblical marriages. Every where we look the definition of biblical marriage is being questioned and/or redefined by many. But not me. Not in our house. We stand on the side of God. We believe in biblical marriage. We believe marriage is between one man and one woman. We are believers that’s what we do, we believe. For me and my house that is not up for debate. God is quite clear on His plan for marriage.

So God created man in His own image, in the image and likeness of God He created him; male and female He created them. [Col. 3:9, 10; James 3:8, 9.] And God blessed them and said to them, Be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it [using all its vast resources in the service of God and man]; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and over every living creature that moves upon the earth. (‭Genesis‬ ‭1‬:‭27-28‬ AMP)

I had read that verse of scripture so many times before but this time something new jumped out at me.

Genesis 1:28 AMP-And God blessed them.

There it was; the crux of it all. That is what the devil is after. He’s after “The Blessing” God placed on marriage. He HATES marriage. Marriage was after all God’s idea.

The word blessed here means “to endue with power for success, prosperity, fertility and longevity.”

The word dominion here means “”to be lord over, rule over, have dominion over”.
In its very definition it is delegated authority. God gave to “marriage” dominion over all the work of His hands.

Of course he would do everything to dismantle and pervert what his archenemy had made in His own image and likeness.

I then began to see the strategic attacks against marriage-
a. destroy the very idea and identity of marriage
b. kill the children that would come out of it
c. steal the authority given in marriage
John 10:10

” The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”

The power that God has placed in a man and a woman who walk together married and united as one. Who know who they are in Christ. Who know the authority they have been given and exercise that authority and TEACH there children- satan can’t do aything with or against this. All of heaven backs it. God endorses it.

Again I began to see attacks straight from hell-
a. destroy mans identity (gender confusion)
b. cause men/woman to be barren (sterility, low sperm count, PCOS, Fibroids)
c. steal causing divorce

Today decide to fight for your marriage. I’m fighting for mine. I’m fighting for yours as well.
Let’s yield our lives and marriages to God and His way of doing things. See the real enemy who has been behind all the confusion and destruction. Cast him out of our marriages and homes.

Lets call those things which be not yet manifest as though it already were. No matter where you may be in your marriage today, ” CALL YOUR MARRIAGE BLESSED”

And if you are believing God for children know that you are the righteousness of God by faith. You have a right to children.

Psalms 127:3
” Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord:
and the fruit of the womb is his reward.”

(I have written other blogs about the topic of children so if that is something that is effecting you please feel free to go through the archives and feed your faith on what belongs to you).

I call you blessed!!!! I call your marriages blessed!!! I call your homes blessed!!! I call your children blessed!!

God has shown me something today. Now I have sight to see and a very different vantage point than I had before. He has changed the play book for me. I pray that for you.
